We welcome you to come in and relax with a glass of wine while enjoying the natural light and mountain views right off of Merrimon Ave. For your convenience, there is easy access to free parking just outside. Our salon uses Schwarzkopf's line of permanent, semi-permanent, and organic colors.

Pamela Mease, an Asheville native, has been the heart and soul of this establishment since its doors first swung open in 2018. With a passion for both her craft and her community, Pamela has quickly become a cherished staple in the thriving Asheville scene.

Pamela brings a wealth of experience to her role as a salon owner, boasting an impressive 20-year career in the beauty industry. Her journey has taken her through the hallowed halls of prestigious salons and into the tutelage of renowned instructors from Aveda, Paul Mitchell, Joico, Matrix, Guy Tang, and Wella. Specializing in custom colors and cuts, Pamela's artistry shines through in her mastery of balayage, ombre, fantasy colors, Keratin treatments, and Dream Catchers Extensions. Her dedication to perfecting her craft ensures that every visit to Salon AVL is a transformative experience, leaving clients not just satisfied but also thrilled with the results. Pamela's commitment to making Asheville even more beautiful is palpable, making her a true gem in the heart of the city.
Meet Taylor Deskins, Asheville native and the heart of Salon AVL as the Salon Coordinator. With her warm, welcoming presence, Taylor ensures every client feels valued from the moment they arrive to the time they leave. She manages appointments and scheduling, keeping the salon running smoothly for both clients and staff.
Taylor also maintains the salon’s clean, organized atmosphere and leads its social media and marketing efforts—creatively highlighting services, promotions, and the stylists' work.
Her commitment to excellence and strong ties to the Asheville community make Taylor an essential part of the Salon AVL team. Whether she’s greeting guests or curating content, she brings care and professionalism to everything she does.
Angela Capasso is a New York native who brought her passion for hair to Asheville in late 2024. With four years of experience behind the chair, she specializes in customized color, precision cuts, and flawless blowouts. Whether you're after a bold transformation, a soft refresh, or voluminous Sabrina Carpenter-style waves, Angela is dedicated to helping clients look and feel their best.Inspired by her hairstylist aunt, Angela discovered her love for the beauty industry early on. After initially exploring another career path, she found her true calling in the salon—blending artistry with confidence-building transformations. She’s refined her skills in dimensional color, lived-in blondes, rich brunettes, and vibrant reds, always tailoring her work to fit each client’s style and lifestyle.Angela is also skilled in both precision and textured cuts, creating shapes that flatter each client’s face, hair type, and vibe. Her signature blowouts—whether sleek, bouncy, or softly curled—are the perfect finishing touch.Now part of the Salon AVL family, Angela brings her creativity and warmth to every appointment, creating a fun, welcoming experience from start to finish.
Meet Caroline May! Caroline is currently assisting primarily alongside Pam, and you’ll often see her around the salon helping with services, keeping things running smoothly, and soaking up as much hands-on experience and education as she can.
A proud Asheville native and Enka High School graduate, Caroline spent 12 years as a veterinary technician — a role that showcased her nurturing nature and dedication to helping others. But her lifelong dream of becoming a hairstylist never faded. Last year, she took the leap, graduated from beauty school, and joined the Salon AVL team to grow her skills alongside some of Asheville’s best.​
Caroline is especially passionate about haircutting and sculpting. She loves the precision, creativity, and confidence a great cut can bring, and she’s eager to keep learning the finer details of personalized hair design.​
Outside the salon, you’ll find her exploring the mountains, enjoying the outdoors, and staying connected to the Asheville community she loves. With her warm energy, drive, and dedication, Caroline is a natural fit for our team — and we’re so excited to be part of her journey.

Micah Jarrell brings a vibrant, artistic energy to Salon AVL—and we’re so excited to have her on the team! Originally from Charlotte, NC, Micah has been in the hair industry for about a year and a half and is already turning heads with her talent, creativity, and fearless approach to hair.
She loves taking the time to really get to know her clients, making sure every haircut or color is customized to fit their personality and lifestyle. Her favorite services to perform include haircuts, highlights, perms, and anything that lets her flex her creativity—especially the weird, funky, and unconventional styles that push boundaries and break all the “rules.” If you’re dreaming of something bold, textured, or totally unique, she’s all in.
When she’s not behind the chair, Micah is most likely spending time outdoors, vibing to music, or snuggling up with her cats. Her laid-back, adventurous spirit makes every appointment feel like you’re hanging out with an old friend—except you leave looking and feeling amazing.
Micah is passionate about creating an inclusive, fun, and welcoming experience for everyone who sits in her chair. She’s here to help you express yourself and feel confident doing it—whether that means a subtle refresh or a total transformation.
